Kelvin Gastelum (7-0) made a statement to the UFC’s welterweight division at UFC Fight Night 27 this Wednesday evening.
Gastelum made his debut at 170-pounds on the main card in Indianapolis and made quick work of his opponent Brian Melancon.

An early uppercut dropped Melancon and Gastelum swarmed on to his back. He secured the rear naked choke to finish the contest early.
The 21-year old California native has a ton of time to grow and he showed he has since he won this past season of The Ultimate Fighter.
