Except for one man, who basically controlled the majority of the grappling exchanges that took place on Wednesday night.
Jake Shields takes home split decision victory in UFC Fight Night 29’s main event
Jake Shields proved once again that he is a force to be reckoned with after becoming the first man to defeat Maia in the Welterweight division. Maia never really got a chance to showcase his improved striking abilities, as his opponent did a good job of limiting his offense.
In the end, it was Shields who got his hand raised with a split decision win.
