UFC 167 title challenger Johny Hendricks had a close encounter with bright lights last month while filming a commercial for his upcoming fight. Hendricks was positioned too close to a lighting rig, and suffered second degree burns on his back from the heat.

MMAFighting.com revealed the news earlier today.
Hendricks, who by his own admission never suffered so much as a sunburn in the summer before, was forced to miss a couple of days of training due to the burn. The injury healed within a week, and “Big Rig” is still on track to challenge Georges St. Pierre for his UFC Welterweight Title at UFC 167 on November 16th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV.
