Stefan Struve vs. Dave Herman Have Verbally Agreed to Fight UFC on Fuel 1

A heavyweight showdown is in the works between Stefan Struve and Dave Herman. The two according to MMAWeekly.com have verbally agree to square off at the UFC’s inaugural show on Fuel.

UFC on Fuel 1 is expected to take place on Feb. 15 in Omaha, Neb.

Struve (22-5) will look to make it two wins in a row, with his last win a submission victory over Pat Barry at UFC Live: Cruz vs. Johnson back in October. One of the tallest men in the UFC (6’11”) holds a record of 6-3 in the UFC.

Herman (21-2) was scheduled to fight Mike Russow at UFC 136, however the bout was cancelled after Herman failed his preliminary drug test in which he tested positive for marijuana. Herman has been training with former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Dan Henderson Team Quest in Temecula, Calif.

There is no word as to whether this fight will make the televised portion card.
