After losing a do or die match against Brandon Vera in a preliminary bout at UFC 137 in October, Eliot Marshall has now announced that his release from the UFC is official.
Marshal was first brought into the UFC via season 8 of The Ultimate Fighter, where he was eliminated by the eventual winner Ryan Bader. Marshal went on to win his first 3 UFC fights, but was cut after losing a split decision to Vladimir Matyushenko.

Outside of the UFC he went on another 3 fight winning streak that earned him his second stint as a replacement for an injured Karlos Vemola against Luiz Cane at UFC 128.  Unfortunately he was unable to convert his rebirth to any wins as he was TKO’d by Cane, and a close unanimous decision loss against Vera, where Marshall rallied for a strong finish in the final round.
