While he may no longer be the Bellator Lightweight Champion, Michael Chandler is still keeping busy. The Alliance MMA fighter will be appearing in a small role in the upcoming science fiction movie, Within the Dark, starring Brian Krause of Charmed fame. A photo showing Chandler on set with Vancouver-based actor/kickboxer Jared Abrahamson – who has a supporting role in the film – has surfaced online, and it looks like the former Bellator 155 lbs. kingpin will be doing some of what he does best. While details are limited, the film is scheduled for release sometime in 2014.

Michael Chandler (12-1) is currently the #2 lightweight in Bellator, and was last seen losing a split decision to Eddie Alvarez for the promotion’s 155 lbs. title at Bellator 106 in a bout some are calling a “Fight of the Year candidate.” The well-rounded Chandler had been undefeated until that point. No new matches have been announced for Chandler, but expect to see him back on Spike TV when Bellator’s next lightweight tournament is announced.
