Jessamyn Duke vs Peggy Morgan announced for TUF 18 Finale card

The first contestants’ bout for the The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale Card has been reportedly booked, and will see Team Rousey members Jessamyn Duke and Peggy Morgan square off in a bantamweight bout.

Jessamyn Duke vs Peggy Morgan announced for TUF 18 Finale card

Wombat Sports, a WMMA-focused news blog, reported the rumor this morning via their Twitter account. MMAFighting.com later confirmed it with UFC officials.

Jessamyn “The Gun” Duke (2-0, 1 N/C) came into TUF 18 on the heels of a war with Miriam Nakamoto at Invicta FC 5, a loss that was over-turned into a No Contest due to an illegal knee thrown by Nakamoto that led to the finish. Prior to that, she had gone undefeated as a professional, finishing Suzie Monteiro and Marciea Allen in prior fights for the all-female promotion. Now, after losing in the quarter-finals to Raquel Pennington, “The Gun” will be fighting to keep her UFC dream alive. Will she do it with a win over her teammate, Morgan?

Peggy “The Daywalker” Morgan (2-0) also came in to the TUF House officially undefeated, having earned decision victories over Revelina Berto Kaline Medeiros in her past two fights. After TKOing Bethany Marshall to earn a place on the show during the preliminary round, Morgan would eventually be submitted by Sarah Moras in the quarter-finals. Will “The Daywalker” be able to keep her officially undefeated record intact against “The Gun”?

The TUF 18 Finale goes down on November 30th from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV. The main event is a trilogy bout pitting TUF 5 contestants Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard against each other in a rubber match at lightweight. Stay tuned to MMASucka for more on this and other events.
