TUF China Finale books Shawn Jordan vs. Matt Mitrione, Hatsu Hioki vs. Ivan Menjivar and Yui Chul Nam vs. Kazuki Tokudome

Shawn Jordan

The finale for The Ultimate Fighter China is coming together nicely. The UFC has added three new match-ups including, Shawn Jordan vs. Matt Mitrione, Hatsu Hioki vs. Ivan Menjivar and Yui Chul Nam vs. Kazuki Tokudome.

UFC Asia Managing Director Mark Fischer made the announcement on Saturday.

TUF China Finale books Shawn Jordan vs. Matt Mitrione, Hatsu Hioki vs. Ivan Menjivar and Yui Chul Nam vs. Kazuki Tokudome

Jordan (15-5) is coming off a first round knockout loss to Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 166 in October. Prior to that loss, “The Savage” won two in a row by TKO stoppage against Mike Russow and Pat Barry. Mitrione (6-3) is 1-3 in his last four outings inside the Octagon. Most recently losing via submission to Brendan Schaub at UFC 165.

Menjivar (25-11) has had a long, storied career in the lighter weight classes. From being the first opponent of Georges St. Pierre to kicking Urijah Faber while he’s down, the El Salvadorian immigrant has done everything but hold a UFC title. Currently on a two-fight losing skid, Menjivar will be looking to turn it around with a win over the younger Hioki. Hioki (26-7) came into the UFC with a lot of hype, with some even pegging him as a challenge to featherweight champ Jose Aldo. After gaining victories over George Roop and Bart Palazewski, the hype train came to a crashing halt as Hioki went on a 3 fight losing skid, most recently losing to Darrin Elkins by decision. Now, with a move to bantamweight, Hioki is hoping to jumpstart his career.

Nam (17-4) is a veteran of the sport, who has spent his recent time with ROAD FC. He is currently riding a four-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory coming over Takasuke Kume at ROAD FC 13 in October. Tokudome (12-4-1) will make his third appearance under the UFC banner and currently holds a 1-1 record with the promotion. He won his debut against Cristiano Marcello at UFC on FUEL TV 8 and followed up with a loss to Norman Parke at UFC 162 in July.

The TUF China Finale will go down on March 1 from The Venetian Macao’s CotaiArena and will stream on UFC Fight Pass.
