A Skeptical King Mo Not So Sure Roger Gracie Wants To Fight Him

When a fighter is out for a long period of time, all they want to do is get back in there as soon as possible. Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal is no exception.

The former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion has not been in the cage since he lost his title to Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante last August and suffered a torn ACL and PCL during the bout.

He was supposed to return at the July 30th Strikeforce/M-1 Global: Fedor vs Henderson, but it was announced on June 25th that Gracie suffered a foot injury that forced him to bow out of the proposed bout. Then on June 28th, the bout was rebooked for the next Strikeforce Arena Show, which takes place September 10th in Cincinnati,OH. Lawal did not seem so sure that Gracie was really hurt to begin with.

“I don’t know, let me put it like this. I heard rumors he was hurt, but then he was out in Canada with GSP doing seminars and training, so maybe he was injured. It don’t matter, we are still fighting September 10th”, said Lawal.
