A Featherweight bill has been added to the UFC’s return to Brazil in March.
Will Chope meets Diego Brandao at UFC Fight Night 38 in Brazil
Diego Brandao (18-9), winner of Season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter, meets Will Chope (19-6), a lanky Californian based in Asia.
The bout takes place at UFC Fight Night 38 on March 23rd, at Ginasio Nelio Dias in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The main card airs on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on the UFC Fight Pass.

Brandao looks to get back in the win column following a knockout loss at the hands of Dustin Poirier at UFC 168. That setback snapped a three-fight winning run. The hard hitting Brazilian fighter is set to fight in Brazil for the second time in two years. The 26-year-old has amassed a 4-2 record in the octagon since winning The Ultimate Fighter series back in 2011.
Chope, meanwhile, had a fourteen fight winning streak snapped by Max Holloway when he made his UFC debut in Singapore in January. The 23-year-old Team Buffet native has fought primarily in Asia in his career thus far, racking up over fifty professional bouts across multiple disciplines. Chope, who is the tallest Featherweight combatant at 6’4”, will have a nine inch height advantage over Brandao come fight night.
