‘ROAD FC vs PANCRASE’ theme set for ROAD FC – Korea 002

Two match-ups are now set for the second installment of ROAD Fighting Championship’s ‘ROAD FC – Korea’ series.

Lee Yoon-Jun (5-2) meets PANCRASE vet Kosuke Terashima (9-3-3) at a 135-lbs, while Cha Jung-Hwan (10-6-3) takes on Kenta Takagi (10-7) at Welterweight.

Officials confirmed the match-ups with MMASucka.com late last week.

ROAD FC – Korea 002 goes down on March 9th at the Grand Hilton Convention Centre in Seoul. The event streams LIVE at http://www.ustream.tv/roadfc for a price of USD $9.99, and is expected to air on The Fight Network in Canada.

ROAD FC – Korea 002 takes place on the heels of a successful ROAD FC 014 event which took place just a week ago. The promotion has revealed some huge plans for the event, with a ‘ROAD FC vs. PANCRASE’ theme reportedly set.

The ‘ROAD FC – Korea’ series, of course, was launched late last year for the sole purpose of serving as a launching point for foreign fighters to get into ROAD FC.

Lee, who featured in the inaugural installment of ROAD FC – Korea back in January, is a ROAD FC vet riding high on a three fight win streak. He defeated Otsuka Takafumi and Kamaya Mokoto in 2013, and is slowly becoming one of the most respected fighters in the ROAD FC Bantamweight and Featherweight divisions.

Terashima, 25, has been a mainstay in PANCRASE since 2011, making multiple appearance in the promotion. He is a talented grappler from the respected Wajutsu Keishukai gym in Japan, who made the transition to cage fighting at PANCRASE’s Bayside Fight events. Terashima’s TKO victory in his previous outing proved he had power both standing up, and on the canvas.

Cha, a former Spirit MC staple, fights for the first time after two consecutive draws against former UFC vet Luis Ramos and Vitor Belfort protege, Andrews Nakahara. On a four fight unbeaten run, he holds notable victories over Igor Gracie and Ryo Chonan.

Takagi, meanwhile, is an experienced PANCRASE fighter who has fought in Sengoku, Cage Force, and Shooto.  He is known for being a very tough striker with nine knockouts to his credit. Just like Terashima, the 27-year-old made the transition to the cage through PANCRASE’s Bayside Fights.

More ‘ROAD FC vs. PANCRASE’ style match-ups will be announced  as we edge closer to the event.

As it stands, the updated line-up for ROAD FC – Korea 002 includes:

  • – Lee Yoon-Jun vs. Kosuke Terashima
  • – Cha Jung-Hwan vs. Kenta Takagi
