Anderson Silva Already Showing Off On The Speed Bag

Less than a day after stating he would fight Lyoto Machida or Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Anderson Silva released this video via instagram to show us there’s no rust in his hands. Even though he won’t fight in 2014, his actions over the past 24 hours have us all wondering what is going on in the “Spider’s” head. He seems quite keen on getting his title back and, even though it mattered before, he does not care who he has to fight.

Anderson Silva Injury at UFC 168

Silva suffered a career-threatening injury in his last bout against Chris Weidman at UFC 168 (click on the picture to the right).  It was a freak accident and surely we all wish we could change the past. Silva is still considered the greatest of all-time and it will take another legendary fighter to knock him off his thrown. Not to mention, he seems far from finished with his fighting career.

Machida is set to face Weidman for the UFC middleweight title at UFC 173. After Silva criticized Weidman’s abilities versus “the Dragon”, it will be interesting to see how the middleweight division plays out over the next year. Even though there was speculation as to when and if Silva would fight again, it seems safe to assume that the former UFC middleweight champion has nothing else on his mind.
