Cub Swanson set to take on Jeremy Stephens at UFC Fight Night 44 in June

A featherweight match-up between Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens is slated for UFC Fight Night 44 in June.

UFC officials released the news last week after Damon Martin of FOX Sports first announced it.

Swanson (20-5) is currently riding a five-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory a TKO over Dennis Siver at UFC 162 in July of last year. That performance earned both combatants “Fight of the Night” honors. Swanson’s last loss came in 2011 when he was tapped out by current number one contender Ricardo Lamas.

Stephens (23-9) made the move to 145-pounds in May 2013 and has gone 3-0 since making the drop. In his featherweight debut he beat Estevan Payan and followed that up with a knockout against Rony Jason. Most recently, Stephens beat Darren Elkins via unanimous decision at UFC on FOX 10 in January of this year.

The Swanson vs. Stephens fight will main event the San Antonio fight card.

UFC Fight Night 44 will go down on June 28 in San Antonio, Texas.
