“Overeem is ready to go!!! Lesnar vs Overeem is on!,”
These were the words typed by UFC President Dana White via twitter earlier today.
Earlier this month fans and media alike were very nervous that the UFC 141 main event between Alistair Overeem and Brock Lesnar would not be going down. During UFC 140 Kevin Iole tweeted out that he heard rumblings of a change in the main event. The Monday following UFC 140, Overeem was on the phone with the Nevada State Athletic Commission and was eventually given a conditional license.
Today Overeem met all of the conditions that were set and his bout against Brock Lesnar is official for the main event of UFC 141.
