PXC 43 Weigh-In Results/Video: Several fighters fail to hit marks

Headliners Ale Cali and Ernesto Montilla.

A couple of fighters failed to hit their marks for Saturday night’s PXC 43 event at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City, Philippines.

A Flyweight title bout featuring Rambaa Somdet and Roldan Sangcha’an was originally slated to headline the fight card, but with the former suffering a herniated disk in training, officials were forced to scrap the bout from the line-up altogether.

Ale Cali came in a pound and a half over the required 125-lbs limit, while his opponent, Ernesto Montilla, managed to hit the mark with ease.

Gina Iniong and Mei Yamaguchi, meanwhile, weighed in two pounds over the Atomweight mark of 105-lbs.

But Filipino fighter Lorde Rey Yamit conspicuously took the spotlight for the wrong reasons, coming in a whopping ten pounds over the Featherweight limit when he took to the scales. His opponent, Arex Montalban, on the other hand, weighed in at 145.5-lbs.

The promotion did not indicate if the fighters made weight on their second attempts, but it would be sensible to assume we may see several catchweight bouts come fight night.

As with previous installments, you can catch PXC 43 on LIVESTREAM.

Check out the full weigh-in results below:
