UFC Fight Night 40 went down tonight in Cincinnati, OH at the US Bank Arena, and the crowd went home happy.  6143 people filled the arena to enjoy 7 stoppage victories out of a total of 13 fights, for a gate of $415,000. From that, Erick Silva and Johnny Eduardo take home $50,000 each, while Matt Brown banks double performance bonuses for a total of $100,000.

UFC Fight Night 40 saw Matt Brown survive the early onslaught of Erick Silva and turn the tables, fustigating him for almost the entirety of the rest of the fight en route to his 7th consecutive victory in the main event. This brings him into a tie for second longest streak amongst active UFC fighters. The evening also saw Costas Philipou knock-out Lorenz Larkin in the co-main event.
