Former UFC featherweight Josh Grispi was arrested after allegedly assaulting his wife and training his pit bull to attack her.

The Taunton Daily Gazette released the story on Wednesday stating that the 25-year-old is being held on $100,000 bail for domestic abuse and assault charges following his arrest on Monday.

Middleboro police officer Richard Harvey said, “It’s the worst case of domestic abuse I’ve ever seen.” Grispi was initially arrested on Friday, but was released on $2,000 bail. After the second arrest he was sent to Plymouth House of Correction for 60 days and had his bail revoked.

When police arrived at the Grispi house they found his three-year-old sitting next to unsecured guns and ammunition. He is being charged with two counts of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of violating a restraining order, animal cruelty, malicious damage to a motor vehicle, drug possession to cultivate marijuana and improper storage of a large capacity firearm and rifle or shotgun near a child.

Grispi (14-5) made his way to the UFC after the organization amalgamated with the WEC. He was released in 2013 after losing all four of his UFC bouts.
