Mark Hunt signs new six-fight UFC deal

Hunt (9-8-1) made his way to the UFC in 2010 after riding an odd five-fight losing streak and lost his first UFC bout against Sean McCorkle. Following that loss he rebounded against Chris Tuchscherer and then continued by winning his next three in a row against Ben Rothwell, Cheick Kongo and Stefan Struve.

At UFC 160 Hunt lost to Junior dos Santos in a ‘Fight of the Night’ battle and then fought to a draw against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva at UFC Fight Night 33.

Hunt plans on fulfilling his six-fight deal before retiring.

The “Super Samoan” will next face Roy Nelson in the main event at UFC Fight Night 52 on September 20 in Japan.
