The largest MMA promotion on the planet heads to the Ginásio Nilson Nelson in Brasília, Brazil and we have you covered with our UFC Fight Night 51 Kountermove Preview.
In the main event, heavyweights Andrei Arlovski and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva will go to battle. The six fight main card is very heavily stacked with Brazilians, including the co-main event between lightweights Gleison Tibau and Piotr Hallmann.
The image below is all of the prices of fighters in the UFC Fight Night 51 Kountermove games. If you are interested in playing and unsure of whom to pick for your five, we will give you a bit of our insight.
If you have never played Kountermove before, it’s very simple — you have $25,000 to spend. To make the most of your money, you will more than likely not be able to take more than one favorite. With a team of five, you will look to stay at about a $5,000 average
Best Bets
Both of my ‘Best Bets’ hold a rather hefty price tag, but they are really the only two fighters that I am a lock on.
Leandro Santos ($5400) – Coming into his UFC Fight Night 51 bout with Efrain Escudero, Santos is riding an unbelievable 6-0-1 streak. He has one win and a draw inside the Octagon and will face a stiff test, as Escudero is making his way back to the Octagon for a third stint. Being a submission ace, Santos will likely attempt to get this fight to the mat as quickly as he can.
Jessica Andrade ($5500) – After losing her first fight inside the Octagon to Liz Carmouche, Andrade has since gone on a two-fight winning streak.
The Brazilian will look to get one step closer to title contention and a win over Larissa Pacheco stands in her way.
Underdog Picks
Russell Doane ($4400) – The fact that Doane is an underdog against Iuri Alcantara boggles my mind. The kid from Hawaii is riding a three-fight winning streak with two of them coming by stoppage — one of which he won the Tachi Palace Fights Bantamweight Championship.
His foe is on a two-fight winning streak, but for some quirky reason I have to side with the Island boy.
Dashon Jackson ($4600) – Yes Jackson lost his first UFC fight, but prior to that he was undefeated and on a nine-fight winning streak. His loss was to former TUF Nations contestant Jake Matthews and it was a slick submission by the Aussie. Bring on the over confident Brazilian, Pepey, who is 1-2 in his last three fights and Jackson could be on his way to an exciting finish in his sophomore UFC appearance.
Leandro Silva ($4700) – Another underdog who is on a crazy winning streak is Silva — his being at five fights. He is a finisher, who will take the fight to Trinaldo who is coming off a loss to Michael Chiesa.
At $4700, he could be a steal for your filler pick.
