UFC 178 salaries: McGregor and Johnson top the payouts

UFC 178 has come and gone from the mecca of MMA Las Vegas.

After a fantastic night of action, a number of fighters made an impact not just in the Octagon, but also in their bank accounts. The two fighters that made the most were main event fighter and UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson ($183,000), as well as featherweight contender Conor McGregor ($150,000).

Johnson was able to obliterate Chris Cariaso in the second round of their championship bout. Once again proving that “Mighty Mouse” is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet.

In the “People’s Main Event” McGregor flattened Dustin Poirier to move up the rankings and put the entire 145-pound division on blast.
