27-year old UFC Featherweight Steven Siler has been released from the UFC.

He was a competitor on The Ultimate Fighter 14, and although he didn’t win the UFC contract, he earned himself one anyways and ended up becoming a veteran of the promotion.  He came into the UFC and won three straight, but then lost for the first time in the UFC against Darren Elkins in 2012.

He went 2-1 in 2013, and his loss to Dennis Bermudez last year marked the start to his 3-fight losing skid.  His last fight against Noad Lahat he lost against unanimous decision last July, which resulted in him being cut from the promotion.

Nothing has been said about where he will be fighting next, but he still plans on returning to the UFC one day.
