Jeremy Kennedy’s Team Quest Thailand Blog #6

A lot has happened since my last blog.

I had a very good camp leading up to my main event fight at BFL 32 (Battlefield Fight League) against Andre Da Silva. I was doing a lot of conditioning, drilling and small glove sparring –which I like to do a lot of close to my fights. I was in the best shape of my life and planned to really push the pace against Andre. That’s exactly what I did, and I was happy to get the win (Rear-Naked Choke submission at 3:15 of Round 2.)

Jeremy Kennedy’s Team Quest Thailand Blog #6

It was amazing to be home for a few weeks after my fight, to see all my friends and family again. It was nice to relax and not step on a scale for a month, train a little lighter and just reset my body.

While I was home, I worked very hard to gain a supplement sponsor and I’m happy to announce that Popeyes Supplements in Surrey came on board and is my newest sponsor. Having this will be a huge cut in expenses, since being a full time fighter isn’t cheap, with inconsistent pay days.

My next fight will be on November 22 at Full Metal Dojo 3 in Bangkok, Thailand. My original opponent had verbally agreed, but the contract was never signed. A replacement is being looked for, so it will be announced as soon as it’s official. Fighting for FMD (Full Metal Dojo) is going to be an experience I never thought would happen. The rules — they are a mixture of unified and PRIDE rules. Allowing soccer kicks and knees to the head on the ground as well as 12-to-6 elbows. So training camp will be a little different this time around, with lots of new tools to add to the arsenal.

I have a lot of new things coming up, including a new teammate coming out and the launch of my own website. Stay tuned next month for my next blog.

I would like to thank my sponsors, Popeyes Supplements, Team Quest Thailand, MMASucka, Strike Athletics, and Ariel Banquet Hall & Convention Centre.
