The “loser leaves town” fight is fast becoming a staple of the UFC events, and UFC 184 was no exception. Both Jake Ellenberger and Josh Koscheck were on 3 fight losing skids going into this fight, and it was reasonable to believe that whoever lost this fight would no longer be with the UFC. Jake Ellenberger was hellbent on keeping his job, showcasing improved striking and busting out his rarely seen submission skills, choking Josh Koscheck out so brutally that the TUF original was left foaming at the mouth in the second round.
