The UFC Strawweight Title was on the line as Joanna Jedrzejczyck challenged champion Carla Esparza at UFC 185 in the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX. The Polish powerhouse with the nearly impossible to pronounce last name came out of the gate immediately and put a beating on the listless Esparza similar to the name-making performance Anderson Silva put on in his debut against Chris Leben so many years ago. Jedrzejczyck put the TUF 20 winner away with a barrage of strikes in the second round to capture the UFC’s 115 lbs. crown.
