Jose Aldo reportedly injured, UFC 189 bout in doubt

 

It’s looking like the UFC’s most hyped fight of the year is in jeopardy, with reports that 145 lbs. kingpin Jose Aldo has suffered a fractured rib in training. The initial report came from Ana Hissa, a correspondent for Brazil’s SporTV and Canal Combate channels, via her twitter.

The English translation is “Jose Aldo suffered fractured rib during sparring that Tuesday morning in Rio. UFC does not comment on future of fight

UFC 189 is still scheduled to go down July 11th, live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. While there is now some doubt, the main event is still scheduled to be Jose Aldo vs. Conor MacGregor for the UFC Featherweight Title. Stay tuned to MMASucka.com for more as this story develops.
