UFC on FOX 17 will see the return of ‘The Barn Cat’, as Tamdan McCrory will make his return against the streaking Josh Samman.
This bout was one of two fights confirmed by Jay Reddick of The Orlando Sentinel.
McCrory (13-3) will be returning to the UFC for the first time in about six years. After his release in 2009, he took a five year break from the sport before returning and needing less than 90 seconds combined to take out Brennan Ward and Jason Butcher.
Samman (12-2) has gone 3-0 in the UFC since emerging from TUF 17. In his last two bouts he earned performance of the night bonuses, submitting Caio Magalhaes and scoring a knockout of the year caliber headkick against Eddie Gordon.
UFC on FOX 17 (UFC Orlando) is scheduled to take place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida on December 19. The card will be headlined by a lightweight title fight as Rafael dos Anjos will look defend his title against donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone.
