KSW welterweight champion Borys Mańkowski has a new opponent for next month’s KSW 32, and it’s TUF veteran and former CWFC welterweight champion Jesse Taylor.
Mańkowski was originally supposed to fight Michail Tsarev, but on August 29 Tsarev was submitted by Jesse Taylor in just 40 seconds at ‘League S-70: Russia vs. World’, this prompted the promotion to insert Taylor into the co-main event. The new bout was announced on Wednesday.
Mańkowski (17-5-1) has won four straight, including three finishes. In his most recent outing, he beat Mohsen Bahari by unanimous decision in a catchweight bout at KSW 30 in February.
Taylor (29-12) has won two straight after going 0-3 in three separate organizations. Both of his wins following that losing streak came in the month of August 2015. He started the month with a three minute submission victory of Nick Barnes on August 1. And on August 29 he beat Michael Tsarev by submission in just 40 seconds at ‘League S-70: Russia vs. World’. He was the only member of the ‘World’ team to get a win on that day.
This bout will be for the KSW welterweight championship and will be the co-main event of KSW 32.
KSW 32 is set to take place on October 31 at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Here is the card so far;
