Robin Black, lead analyst for Canada’s Fight Network, appeared on this week’s edition of The Eye of the Storm MMA Podcast at MMASucka.com, and started off the interview with some major news. During the two-hour interview (which can be heard here), Black detailed a meeting with UFC President Dana White and the reasons behind it.
“Actually, I was in Dana’s office last week, chatting with him, and the dude was standing up – and he’s a cool dude,” Black told hosts Justin Pierrot and Christiaan Allaart. “I’d met him briefly before, but he was standing up, quoting lines from my breakdowns to me. We were walking around eachother, acting stuff out – like acting out certain fights – and it was really cool. So they now very well seem to know my work, and that really means a lot to me. In fact, I’m currently working on, right now, a breakdown for them on Holly Holm. That is the conversation I had with Dana White and (UFC producer) Craig Borsari. That, hopefully, that’s something that we’ll do it at some point.
Hopefully this is something that will work out for Robin Black, as he is considered by many to be one of the brightest analysts in MMA today.
