Tonight, the nightmare of nearly every UFC staffer and every fight fan came true. Tonight, it was announced that Jon “Bones” Jones has failed an out of competition drug test. As per the UFC’s current drug testing policy with the US Anti-Doping Agency, Jones has been suspended. This was made public by UFC President Dana White and the Jones’ opponent, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier, in an emergency press conference this evening.

Jon Jones pulled from UFC 200

With Jones removed from UFC 200, “D.C.” is left without a fight and – barring a last-minute replacement opponent – will likely be pulled from the card as well. The new main event will be Mark Hunt vs. Brock Lesnar in a 3 round affair. No word  yet on what, if any, fight will move up to the main card.

UFC 200 is set to go down July 9th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The Main Event is currently set to be a 3 round heavyweight affair pitting “The Super Samoan” Mark Hunt against “The Beast” Brock Lesnar. Stay tuned to MMASucka.com for more on this event and others to come.
