UFC on Fuel TV 1: Skyscraper finishes Herman by TKO

The co-main event features two heavyweight behemoths squaring off when Stefan Struve battles Dave Herman – Struve walks into the cage having won 3 of his last 5 bouts, choking out heavy-handed kickboxer Pat Barry in his last outing.

The 6-foot-11 giant has had an on-off record in his career winning some and losing some but he is looking to get on track tonight with another victory but it isn’t coming easy against Dave Herman.

Herman walks into the cage sporting a three-fight win streak with his last victory coming over John Olav-Einemo as well as holding notable wins over Don Frye, Kerry Schall & Ron Waterman on his trek to the elite heavyweight division.

Action-packed, smash-mouth brawls were what the UFC wanted from these two and it’s what they got, but not right away – Herman chipped away at the giant trying to take away his legs with a series of leg kicks that caught him off guard.

Herman was unable to find his range and took punishment to his legs while landing occasionally with his large-frame that was largely nullified by the leg kicks of Herman.

The fight came to a close when Herman used his leg kick to set up an uppercut that almost knocked the beard off of Herman before “The Skyscraper” pounced on him landing a string of unanswered punches to Herman who didn’t defend it.
