Hunt blasts Kongo with 1st round KO

Mark Hunt didn’t waste any time in his return to japan, dropping French kickboxer Cheick Kongo twice and winning by knockout at just 2:11 into round number one.

Kongo’s first trip to the mat came courtesy of a counter left hand from the “Super Samoan”, and it was Hunt’s right hand that spelled the end for Kongo as Herb Dean stepped in to protect him from further damage. The Japanese crowd gave Hunt a raucous reception, a leftover from Hunt’s days in Pride and K-1.
