Super Fight League signs Paul Kelly, Professor X, and Lena Ochynnikova

(Mumbai, DATE 2012) India’s first MMA Organization Super Fight League (SFL) is proud to announce its second wave of signings: Paul Kelly, Xavier Foupa-Pokam and Lena Ovchynnikova for four fight exclusive deals.

Super Fight League will debut on March 11th at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai and fans from all over the world will be able to tune in and experience the action live and free on YouTube following the announcement of a three year deal with YouTube earlier this month. Headlined by an anticipated HW bout between James Thompson V Bob Sapp, Super Fight League will debut a unique blend of world class fights and top music entertainment.

SFL is committed to developing and showcasing the best domestic Indian talent, cultivated by renowned coach Dan Isaacs, alongside internationally recognised names.

Paul Kelly (@PaulKellyMMA)

Fighting out of Liverpool’s Team Kaobon, hard hitting British UFC vet Paul Kelly is known for bringing the fight and fans round the world can now look forward to more exciting performances at Super Fight League.

SFL CEO Ken Pavia (@KenPavia) said: ‘The term “Fighters Fight” defines Paul Kelly. The kid is as tough as they come and it is not an act.  English fans know he talks a big game and backs it up in the cage.  He doesn’t duck any fight and asked for top competition in his multi fight deal with the SFL, and we are obliging.’

‘Professor X’ Xavier Foupa-Pokam

Xavier Foupa-Pokam has fought across the globe in at UFC, Cage Rage, BAMMA and M-1 Global. A Savate specialist from France, Foupa-Pokam has defeated a wide range of fighters including TUF alumni Kyacey Uscola, BAMMA Middleweight Champion Tom Watson and UK MMA star Alex Reid.

SFL CEO Ken Pavia said: ‘There is no such thing as a boring Professor X fight.  He is pure showmanship and entertains fans from the walkout onward.  You may buy a seat to a Prof X fight but you will only use the edge of it when he is at work.’

Lena Ovchynnikova

24 year old Ukrainian submission specialist Lena Ovchynnikova is on an 8 – 0 winning streak.

SFL CEO Ken Pavia said: ‘”Don’t let her model good looks fool you, all eight of her opponents will attest to just how tough this undefeated girl is.  Lena can put you in a trance with her baby blues, then put you to sleep with a head kick or right cross.  We are very excited to have her as the first of many female signings for the SFL.”
