Diego Sanchez Out vs. Matt Hughes At UFC 135 With Broken Hand, Josh Koscheck In

Diego Sanchez was set to face off against UFC welterweight pioneer Matt Hughes on September 24 at UFC 135. Dana White tweeted today that Diego was out and they are working on a replacement for Hughes. Sanchez broke his hand during training for this upcoming fights.

Dana White tweeted this earlier today…

“Diego Sanchez broke his hand. Looking for a replacement for Hughes.”

Just moments ago Josh Koscheck tweeted this

🙂 got a fight in 21 days bitches……..

And then followed up with this…

Oh ya 19 days then or something like that!!!! Either way it looks like I am in to fight matt Hugh if he takes it????

It was originally expected that Koscheck would make a move to 185lbs for his first fight back after his injury, but it looks like he is right on course for making his move back to the top of the welterweight division.
