Ireland’s Paul Redmond returns to KSW on June 9 to face rising Polish prospect Gracjan Szadzinski at KSW 44 from the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland.
Also on the card, we will see the return of KSW legend Michal Materla.
Paul Redmond meets Gracjan Szadzinski at KSW 44, Michal Materla also joins card
Gracjan Szadzinski (7-2) fights out of Berserker’s Team Stargard, alongside KSW light heavyweight king Tomasz Narkun.
He made his KSW debut last year, losing to Kamil Szymuszowski via close majority decision. Szadzinski followed up that loss by knocking out Leonid Smirnov under the Babilon MMA banner before returning to KSW. In his return to the promotion, Gracjan Szadzinski took on red-hot undefeated prospect Maciej Kazieczko.
Szadzinski knocked out Kazieczko with punches in the final seconds of round number one. Meaning he enters the Redmond bout having won two-straight, both of which by the first-round knockout.
Paul ‘Redser’ Redmond (14-6) is a veteran of the UFC and famed European promotion Cage Warriors. After dropping two-straight in the UFC in 2015, Redmond signed with UK-based promotion BAMMA.
After a win in his debut at BAMMA 26, Redmond was put into a vacant lightweight title bout with Norman Parke. It was a competitive fight, but Parke took the nod via majority decision.
The Team Ryano product has since won three-straight under the Bellator MMA and KSW banners. His two KSW appearances saw him earn wins against Rob Sinclair and Lukasz Chlewicki.
Former longtime KSW middleweight title-holder, Michal Materla (25-6) will also return following his quick upset loss to Scott Askham earlier in the year. An opponent has not been announced yet.
