“I would have surpassed Ronaldo and Messi in second place” Conor McGregor

Irish MMA, Conor McGregor and Brazilian MMA Rafael dos Anjos were almost close to resolving beef that was ignited about two years ago. Taking this to bet online with Novibet will no doubt make a lot of senses.

McGregor, who is famously called “The Notorious”, honoured his fourth placed name in the Forbes’ 2018 list of World highest paid athletes through his Instagram account, writing also about his recent fallout of a booked fight, which was supposed to push him to the second place on the list.

McGregor wrote on Instagram via MMAfighting: “Made it to number four on the Forbes list this year, if I had of fought on the agreed May 12 bout in Rio de Janeiro, I would have surpassed (Cristiano) Ronaldo and (Lionel) Messi to take second place.”

The UFC 224 has been set for the 12th of May, but now will be highlighting another famous fight in the Women’s Bantaweight, with Amanda Nunes and Raquel and Pennington going head to head in the fight.

However, McGregor statement in the Social Media all but confirms the report from Journalist Ariel Helwanim who reported that both Irish and the Brazilian could have competed for a third belt, a Interim Welterweight.

Some in 2016, the Brazilian Mixed Martial Arts was booked to fight and defend his Lightweight Championship against McGregor, which was followed by Featherweight champion at UFC 196.

A foot injury pushed Dos Anjos to immediately withdraw from the contest and McGregor will go on to fight almost unexpected Nate Diaz in a Welterweight bout.

The second meeting that was supposed to take place with the rivals was further cancelled, with McGregor writing, “Something came up,” which was a reference to his aggressive appearance he showed at the media event for UFC 223 back in April 5th at Brooklyn. Where the Irish man and his associates caused quite a riot in backstage, attempting an attack on rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Conor McGregor has been facing three charges of assault and one charge of criminal mischief for his activity during the incident.
