MMASucka Product Review: RYU Wakizashi Performance Shorts

If you are looking for the next generation in fight shorts, then look no further. The RYU Wakizashi Fight Shorts are a step above the rest of the competition out there. I have gone through plenty of fight shorts from some of the best names in the industry and I have not had a pair like these. I am very particular when it comes to my shorts, the fit has to be just perfect and these ones were. When I put them on for the first time, I was a tad worried as they were shorter than I normally like (above the knees). However, I was pleasantly surprised after a few minutes of working out in them, they felt like they were not even there. I know that sounds weird, but they are by far the most comfortable fight shorts I have ever worn. They are like a hybrid of board shorts and fight shorts.

The shorts feature a unique 4-way stretch material that lets your movement flow without any restriction. One thing you will notice is while training, you won’t have to keep pulling the shorts down, they are a perfect fit. If you are a sweaty beast, as some of us are, the quick drying and moisture wicking works just as it should. I have worked out at the gym and also did some live sparring in these for quite some time and I didn’t feel weighted down by sweat.

If you are looking for the best fight shorts in the biz then look no further. You may find yourself doing more laundry than normal, as you will want to sport these puppies every time you head to the gym. The $98 price tag might make you look the other way, but I promise you that you will not regret the extra dollars you spend.
