Amateur Welterweight Title

For the first time in Lion Fight history, an amateur title is on the line. Former Cage Titans competitor, Jurrell Laronal takes on Shaun Shubert for the promotions vacant amateur welterweight title.

Laronal and Shubert have already fought once before. The two first met inside the ring at Lion Fight 40. There Laronal won the bout via majority decision.

Laronal competed on the previous Lion Fight card, Lion Fight 45. Before his appearance on the most recent Muay Thai event, Laronal fought under an MMA ruleset at Cage Titans 38. At CTFC 38, Laronal fell to Dion Rubio by submission in the second round of the bout.The loss pushed his MMA record to 2-2.

Lion Fight 46 Feature Fights

Other featured fights on the docket for tonight; Yeison Berdugo vs. Fernando Perez and Michael Triana vs. Alexis Chavarria. Berdugo returns to Foxwoods Resort and Casino in search of more electricfying KOs.

Trianna returns to Fox Theatre at Foxwoods for a second consecutive appearance under the Lion Fight banner. He looks to bounce back after losing to Jordan Harris by majority decision at Lion Fight 45.

In the main event of the evening, North American super cruiserweight champion, Steve ‘Put em to Sleep’ Walker takes on Kristaps Zile. Walker returns to the ring after a dominant performance at Lion Fight 45. The champion took on the experienced William Sriyapai. Despite the experience factor being lopsidedly in favor of Sriyapai, Walker dominated throughout until earning a TKO in the third round of the contest.
