Alistair Overeem predicts Cain Velasquez to defeat Junior dos Santos at UFC 155

As you’ve likely heard, Alistair Overeem has been named the number one contender in the heavyweight division and will fight the winner of UFC 155’s Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez heavyweight championship bout.

Overeem and dos Santos have been feuding for months now, going all the way back to their fight which was supposed to happen at UFC 146 in May. The former Strikeforce champion vs. the current UFC champion is the money fight to make in the heavyweight division right now, however, Overeem seems to think it’s not going to happen.

In an interview with Spencer Lazara of MMAInterviews, the 32-year-old predicts Velasquez to defeat dos Santos on Dec. 29.

Watch the video below to hear Overeem’s reasoning for picking Velasquez, as well as his thoughts on a number of other MMA related topics.
