Reigning ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade will defend his belt against Physical: Asia star Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu in the main event of ONE Fight Night 38 on Friday, December 5, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The 28-year-old Brazilian kingpin has built his reputation on jaw-dropping finishes and unshakable confidence, and he plans to showcase both qualities when he faces the Mongolian grappling specialist at ONE Championship’s final U.S. primetime event of the year.
Andrade Gets His Wish at ONE Fight Night 38

The 28-year-old called for this specific match back in May, identifying Baatarkhuu as the most deserving challenger based on his impressive three-fight winning streak. Andrade’s wish came true when ONE Championship matchmakers booked the title fight, setting up a compelling stylistic clash between one of the sport’s most dangerous strikers and a suffocating grappler determined to dethrone the divisional king.
Baatarkhuu earned his title opportunity by methodically climbing the bantamweight rankings since capturing the Road to ONE: Mongolia tournament in 2022. The 36-year-old Mongolian brings a 13-3 career record into this championship bout, highlighted by dominant victories over previously undefeated Carlo Bumina-ang, South American knockout artist Aaron “Tommy Gun” Canarte, and #5-ranked contender Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw at ONE Fight Night 29 this past March.
“In Enkh, I get a new challenge, a different style, a guy who is going to challenge me in different areas that maybe none of the fighters before have tried. So, I’m excited to also show how good I am in different areas,” Andrade said.
Brazilian Champion Andrade Wants to Show Off Grappling
Andrade enters his second title defense of 2025 riding momentum from his spectacular 42-second demolition of “Pretty Boy” Kwon Won Il at ONE 170 this past January. The Brazilian has compiled an impressive 10-2 overall MMA record with an 80 percent finishing rate while maintaining a flawless promotional record.
The champion’s striking credentials extend far beyond mixed martial arts. He owns over 40 combined victories in Muay Thai and kickboxing competition, which demonstrates his elite-level stand-up repertoire across multiple disciplines. However, Andrade possesses dangerous grappling skills that often go overlooked, including his submission victory over Mark Abelardo in his ONE Championship debut back in July 2020, proving he can finish fights on the canvas when necessary.
“I am a well-rounded fighter. I can do it all. And I have shown that with my striking in my past fights with my knockouts. This time, I’m going to show how good my grappling is because I’ve got a guy who’s gonna try to wrestle me,” Andrade explained.
Champion Promises Another Spectacular Finish
Throughout his career, Andrade has made finishing opponents a trademark of his fighting style, securing eight stoppages from his ten wins. “Wonder Boy” has no intention of allowing this title defense to reach the judges’ scorecards, expressing supreme confidence in his ability to find the knockout or submission regardless of where the action takes place.
Andrade’s killer instinct has proven lethal against world-class competition, from his brutal stoppage victories over former champion John “Hands of Stone” Lineker to his lightning-fast knockout of Kwon in their January rematch. The champ views Baatarkhuu as simply the next victim on his path toward establishing himself as one of the greatest bantamweight champions in ONE Championship history.
“I’m gonna finish the fight. I don’t want to pick a round or anything like that because I want to enjoy the fight. I want to see how the fight goes. But, definitely, I’m gonna finish the fight. The belt is gonna stay with me,” Andrade said.
ONE Fight Night 38 airs live on Prime Video on Friday, December 5. The action begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The event is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.
