Anthony “Rumble” Johnson Debut at Middleweight Against Vitor Belfort at UFC 142

The fans in Brazil will get a chance to see another one of their stars fight in his home country. It was announced earlier today that Vitor Belfort will take on Anthony “Rumble” Johnson at UFC 142 in January.

This will mark Johnson’s debut at 185lbs, who spent his entire career at 170lbs. The move up is not a surprising one as Johnson has failed to make the 170lbs weight limit on numerous occasions. Johnson returned to action earlier this year after a 16-month layoff and is on a two fight win streak with victories over Dan Hardy and Charlie Brenneman.

Belfort came up short in his title fight against Anderson Silva at UFC 126, however turned things around with a KO victory over Yoshihiro Akiyama in August. His record is now 20-9.
