Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Cheick Kongo official for UFC 149 in Calgary

Twitter has recently been UFC President Dana White’s go to way for fight announcements. Most recently he got on his twitter machine and announced a heavyweight showdown between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Cheick Kongo for UFC 149 on July 21 in Calgary, Alberta.

UFC 149 July 21 Calgary, Canada Heavyweight Bout Cheick Kongo VS Minotauro Nogueira

This will be Big Nog’s first fight back since he had his arm broken at UFC 140 by heavyweight contender Frank Mir. UFC 149 will go down just seven months after he had a titanium plate and sixteen screws put in his arm. As far as doctors are concerned, he must be ready and training.

Kongo was on a nice little two fight win streak against Pat Barry and Matt Mitrione, until he had his head chopped off by fan favorite Mark Hunt at UFC 144. He will look to get back to his winning ways against a very dangerous Nogueira.
