Bellator 252 Main Card Preview

Bellator 252 kicks off with a stacked card this Thursday at the Mohegan Sun Arena. First, the main card starts off with undefeated prospects, Logan Storley competing against Yaroslav Amosov. Next up, the always dangerous, Emmanuel Sanchez takes on the experienced, Daniel Weichel in a featherweight scrap. Finally, the night will conclude with a fierce headliner between Patricio Freire and Pedro Carvalho.

Logan Storley vs. Yaroslav Amsov

Sharpening his skills at Sanford MMA, Storley remains an undefeated threat to the welterweight division. As a four-time NCAA-All American champion, his wrestling credentials are off the charts. Fighting against the American, Amsov has remained undefeated since starting his professional career in 2012. Interestingly, Amsov’s ability to secure anaconda chokes is undeniable, so Storley will need to watch where his neck is. With an incredible winning streak intact for both fighters, this bout is sure to deliver.

Emmanuel Sanchez vs. Daniel Weichel

Fighting out of Roufussport MMA Academy, Sanchez has been a Bellator MMA mainstay since 2014. The featherweight has a litany of finishes to his name, most recently taking out Ty-wan Claxton with a tight triangle choke. By the same token, Weichel has also been around the promotion a while. However, their fight at Bellator 252 will surely send both men on different trajectories in their careers. Even though Weichel has gone to decision in his last four bouts, Sanchez has a habit of bringing the dog out of his opponent.

Bellator 252 Main Event – Patricio Freire vs. Pedro Carvalho

Lastly, the former two-time featherweight champion, and current lightweight champion, Freire will to command headlines in the main event spot. When one of the infamous “Pitbull” brothers is locked in the cage, fans can always expect a power-punching war. Consequently, Freire is facing a credible threat in Carvalho.

Riding a six-fight win streak, Carvalho has a wide array of finishes. From neck cranks, armbars, to nasty ground and pound finishes, Carvalho has racked up some really solid wins. For instance, picking up the submission win over Sam Sicilia was impressive. Also, Carvalho took out Bellator veteran, Derek Campos by violent ground and pound. Either way fans can expect a great show at Bellator 252, stay locked in here for results and more!
