BKFC 70 Weigh-in Results: Face-Off Drama at Scales Wednesday

BKFC 70 is upon us. Thursday night, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, the same venue as BKFC’s Dec. 21 card, will play host to a rare Thursday night show 96 days removed from the last visit to the Sunshine State.

Live coverage of the show begins tomorrow at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT on DAZN with the free prelims after the countdown show at 6 pm ET/ 3 pm PT on the official BKFC YouTube channel. Main card action follows at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT on DAZN.

Wednesday evening, the ceremonial weigh-ins for BKFC 70 were held inside the casino’s Dare Nightclub. During these weigh-ins, BKFC ring announcer Jeff Houston revealed that the main event of tomorrow’s show just got a little bit more intriguing.

“King of The Streets” Championship Up For Grabs in BKFC 70 Main Event Thursday

BKFC founder  David Feldman held up a new championship belt to go to the winner of the headliner on Thursday night. Either Luis Palomino (9-1 bare-knuckle) or Howard Davis (7-2-1 bare-knuckle) will be crowned the first BKFC King of the Streets Champion after the  main event.

Palomino and Davis weighed-in at or within the lightweight maximum, with the former coming in at 156 lbs, while the latter tipped the scales at 153.2 lbs for the fight.

BKFC 70 Co-Main Event Official After Weigh-Ins, Fighters Almost Come to Blows During Face-Off

Immediately beforehand, the co-main event of the evening sees a heavyweight tilt matching Leonardo Perdomo (6-0 bare-knuckle) against Steve Herelius (1-1 bare-knuckle.) Perdomo weighed-in at 256.4 lbs and Herelius clocked in at 237 lbs even.

When the two fighters faced off for a photo opportunity, however, both men engaged in fisticuffs, resulting in Feldman and security needing to intervene before the situation escalated any further.
