BKFC makes its triumphant return to Kansas on August 16th, two years on from Mike Richman’s brutal second round finish of perennial Bellator contender, David Rickels. On this occasion, Bare Knuckle Boxing is making its debut in the Paris of the Plains- Kansas City- as it hopes to deliver another knockout night, in its ongoing tour of America.
Main Event
The headline bout in this fight night extravaganza sees MMA nomad Jake Lindsey, taking on a crafty welterweight veteran in the form of the 39-year-old Elvin Britto (6-4). Prior to a 2023 loss to Gorjan Slaveski, Lindsey appeared to be in line for a coronation, riding a four-fight dominant win-streak, typified in his most recent victory over Connor Tierney. This fight represents a chance for redemption and a rallying cry in his campaign to seize the crown of a major combat sports organisation.
Co-Main Event
The co-main event is another significant trial by arms, this time at middleweight as Doug Coltrane (3-1) looks to make his case for a shot at gold against promotional prospect, Zebulin Vincent (2-1). Despite the intimidating gap in the rankings, Coltrane is ranked second, whereas Vincent isn’t ranked at all, the betting markets appear sceptical, having made Coltrane a mere -194 favourite to win.
Rest of the Card
Other notable fights lower down the card include Ira Johnson (0-0) vs MMA aficionado Tyler Jones (0-0) (7-11 MMA). JW Kiser (0-0) (6-4 MMA) vs “technical brawler” Michael Fernier (0-2). Regional starlet and military veteran Deron Carlis (0-0) (9-9 MMA) vs Eduardo Peralta (1-2) (3-3 MMA).
