A lightweight match-up between two UFC on FOX 12 winners, Bobby Green and Jorge Masvidal, has been set for UFC 178 in Las Vegas.

UFC officials announced the fight on Tuesday.

Green (23-5) is undefeated in his last eight-fights, with four of those being inside the UFC Octagon. Most recently the 27-year-old took home a split decision victory against top lightweight Josh Thomson. Other notable UFC victories were Jacob Volkmann, James Krause and Pat Healy.

Masvidal (27-8) was once a contender under the Strikeforce banner, even vying for the title against Gilbert Melendez back in 2011. Since that title loss, Masvidal has gone 5-1 with four victories in the UFC. Most recently Masvidal earned a unanimous decision victory against Daron Cruickshank. That bout was his second straight win.

No word as to where the Green vs. Masvidal match-up will take place on the UFC 178 fight card.

UFC 178 goes down on September 27 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier square off for the UFC light heavyweight championship.
