BRACE 24 Results: Martin Nguyen claims vacant 145-lbs title in main event

The Australian took on Luke Standing (5-1) in a 145-lbs match-up that was billed as the toughest test of his career, and he passed with flying colors as a Referee Stoppage within a minute or so awarded him both a victory and the honor of being BRACE’s Featherweight title-holder.

BRACE 24 took place in Australia’s capital city of Canberra, at the AIS Arena in front of a packed audience. Nguyen-Standing served as the headliner for an eight-bout fight card. Unlike previous events, LIVE streaming was not offered this time around.

In the co-main event, Kevin Manderson (17-14-1) found himself in the win column once again as he swept the judges’ scorecards with a Unanimous Decision victory over promotional newcomer, Jacob Pettett (5-8).

Elsewhere, there were wins for Jeshua McPhail, Kitt Campbell, Steve McKinnon, Peter Cross, Amarbir Singh and Dimitar Dimitrovski.
