Caged Aggression 37 Main Events Announced

Caged Aggression, the Iowa-based MMA promotion known for its multi-night events, began rolling out its 25 scheduled fights this week for its upcoming March card, starting with both main events. The organization’s 20th two-night event has been touted as “historic”, with seven of its 25 fights having championship stakes.

The marquee matchup of night one pits former CAMMA champion, LFA veteran, and top Nebraska welterweight Brady Minner (8-4) against Tyler “Sugafree” Scott (7-3), a top fighter out of Indiana with gold in another regional promotion looking to add another to the resume. Both fighters hit their stride last year, closing 2023 with 2-0 and 3-0 records, respectively. They’ll look to continue their winning ways while also taking home gold.

Also announced was the main event of night two, a Bantamweight title bout between two former Ultimate Fighter contestants Josh “The Finisher” Rettinghouse (18-5) and Iowa’s Eric “Showtime” Shelton (17-8). Fourteen of Rettinghouse’s wins have come via finish while Shelton bares cage experience against the likes of Tim Elliott, Alex Perez, and UFC champion Alexandre “The Cannibal” Pantoja.

Additionally, the night one co-main event was unveiled, with Iowa’s Josh “El Tigre” Neal (6-4) battling Gavin Agnew (3-4) of Kentucky at 170lbs. Neal seeks to correct a two-fight skid while Agnew seeks a bounce back victory after losing last July.

Lastly, the promotion announced a dual-debut between Owen “The Demon” Tschantz (5-3 Am) and Thomas Blackorby (4-0 Am). Tschantz is riding back-to-back wins in 2023 with his last showing ending with a finish on the feet within two minutes. For Blackorby, his perfect 4-0 amateur record was stamped with an amateur title win in his last CAMMA appearance.

The action takes place at the RiverCenter in Davenport, Iowa on March 22nd and 23rd. Tickets are available for purchase here.
