First off, just let me say that it is such an honor and a privilege for me to be working with the guys here at MMASucka! They really are a great bunch of guys and I’m happy to join the team.

UFC 140 will be in Toronto on Saturday December 10th at the Air Canada Center. It’s the second foray into what Dana White likes to call the Mecca of MMA. There are seven Canadians competing. One of the good ol’ Canadian kids on the card is London Ontario’s Mark Hominick who had a chance to talk to MMASucka.com about his seven month emotional roller coaster.

I always wanted to keep this series of articles general and not make it about specific brands or promote any one in particular. However, when you have a rare situation like I experienced this week it needs to be noted when a new company and it's ownership group seem to have their finger on the pulse of what it takes to be successful in this business.
Well I successfully defended my Battlefield Fight League middleweight title. It was pretty quick, 40 seconds into the fight I was tightening up a triangle choke, and 1:10 in Jer Kornelsen tapped. It would appear a pretty successful outing. Unless you consider how many mistakes I was able to make in the first few seconds of the fight.
There could be a spot ready for Brian Stann on January 28th in Chicago, Illinois for the UFC’s first four fight show on FOX. The UFC will most likely announce who will be fighting on that card in the coming days. Nothing is for sure but Brian Stann's involvement would make the most sense. You have a Silver Star Marine who is not only a war hero but a pretty talented fighter. He is somebody the American audience could gravitate to.
Tonight the UFC is set to invade San Jose, California for the first time ever. The main event is a light heavyweight showdown that is reminiscent of a good ol' PRIDE fight between Dan Henderson and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. The co-main event is a bout between Wanderlei Silva and UFC newcomer and Strikeforce Veteran Cung Le.
Before we move to my Half-Cut: UFC 139 picks, my beer choice for this event is Pilsner Urquell. The name literally means "pilsner from the original source," making it the only true Pilsner in the world. Experts and judges have given Pilsner Urquell a score of 93 points, which is the highest rating ever given to a pilsner style lager.
It’s never easy for a fighter to deal with a loss especially when one fights in the very competitive UFC. It’s a “what have you done for me lately” type of business and nobody understands that more than Martin “Hitman” Kampmann.
