Now that kids around the world have been visited by Santa Claus and have received their presents (the ones on the nice list anyway), it's time for us as MMA fans to put out our own wish list for what we'd like to see from the sport in 2012.
After much lobbying and internet campaigning, including an online petition, the UFC finally stepped up to give Duane "Bang" Ludwig the recognition he deserves. On January 16, 2006 during UFC Fight Night 3, Ludwig KO'd Canadian Jonathan Goulet with his first punch of the fight. According to the original official result, the fight was recorded at 0:11 seconds, but if you watch the video above, the Mario Yamasaki had touched Ludwig at the 0:04 mark, signifying the end of the fight.
It was back in November when the MMA world had a hay day on Canada's own Michael Lansberg when Chael Sonnen got up and left the set of 'Off The Record'. Well it looks like Sonnen might have forgiven Lansberg and given him a second chance. Today TSN.ca released a sneak peak at the interview which will air in its entirety today (Dec.23) at 2pm PT/5pm ET.

Despite welterweights Nick Diaz, Carlos Condit, Josh Koscheck, and Mike Pierce already topping the bill on February 4th's UFC 143 card in Las Vegas, there's always more room for top-notch 170-pounders, and that's what fans will get, as UFC President Dana White announced two more verbally agreed to bouts between Matt "The Immortal" Brown and Chris Cope, and Justin Edwards and Mike Stumpf.
UFC bantamweight fighter and TUF 15 coach Urijah Faber shaved off his trademark locks in support of his ailing sister. Faber's sister, Michaella Tastad was in a horrific car accident in November and had to have emergency brain surgery . The twitter community came together and pulled for his sister through a very low time. She is on the upward swing of things at this point.
Every fight other than the main event at UFC 141 between Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem is literally flying under the radar, including the co-main event which pits the "Cowboy" Donald Cerrone against Stockton's own Nate Diaz. Cerrone seems very excited to throw down with someone who has the same mentality that he does on Dec. 30.
This time around THQ has simulated the UFC 141 main event between Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem using UFC Undisputed 3. UFC 141 goes down on December 30 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to the simulation Overeem will have his hand held as the victor. They are predicting he wins by KO in the very first round. They simulated the fight 25 times using the AI and these are the stats thanks to BloodyElbow.com.
The UFC has officially announced its next live Canadian event at Montreal in March 2012. The first fight announce is a verbally agreed bout of Rory "Aries" MacDonald versus "Beautiful" Che Mills.
