Today the California State Athletic Commission released the salary figures, along with the attendance and live gate for this past weekends Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal fight card.
The big bread winners were the main event winner Gilbert Melendez and the former light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi who both brought home a very generous $150,000.

Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Gilbert Melendez and challenger Jorge Masvidal will headline the stacked fight card. Also on the card are Cristiane Cyborg vs. Hiroko Yamanaka, as well as former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi vs. Ovince St. Preux.
Heavyweight veteran Gabriel Gonzaga will be making his long awaited return to the UFC in Brazil for UFC 142. Gonzaga’s last UFC bout was a loss to Brendan Schaub in October 2010 at UFC 121. After a short lived retirement, Gonzaga returned to the cage in October at Reality Fighting by defeating Parker Porter. Gonzaga quickly rose to fame after his highlight reel knockout of MMA legend Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.
